Word redundancy is a running joke in the Homestar Runner universe that concerns using more than one of the same word to describe an object, character, object, etc.
Appearances
- Downloads — The ATM asks for your "PIN#" — an abbreviation for personal identification number number.
- Heavy Lourde — "Lourde" is French for heavy.
- Justice Rocket Backpack Rocket Rocket — Reinforcements's weapon is doubly redundant.
- Bubs's Character Video — Bubs says "drinks" three times in a row when listing what his store sells.
- Email rampage — Marzipan says "would be" twice in a row.
- Marzipan's Answering Machine Version 12.2 — The Thnikkaman says drums twice in his list of instruments.
- Email more armies — The King of Town lists "the power" twice in his list of attributes of The Municipality.
- Email yes, wrestling — "He's the Il Cartographer", Il is Italian for "the".
- Strong Badia the Free Cave Girl Squad — When the dinosaur egg hatches, the girl says, "My dinosaur hatched! We're gonna be best BFFs forever!" This means "best best friends forever forever".
- February 19, 2009 Quote of the Week — Cheerleader writes "YNCBIINAR2TMTSAYHAOBTHACTCM this summer" in someone's yearbook. She then explains that "This Summer" is part of the abbreviation, making it accounted for twice.
- Where U Goin' 2? — Strong Mad calls Strong Bad out on his use of "ATM machine" (Automated teller machine machine).
- Email dictionary — Strong Bad inadvertently says "restaurant-restaurant" after describing "frou-frou" desserts and then later says, "Shut up, shut up Lady!"
Pleonasms
- Email monster truck (Easter egg) — The flyer for Awexome Cross '98 uses "Also, too".
- Email interview — Strong Bad says "...more better..." as part of his reply to Kerrek's email.
- Senorial Day — Strong Bad calls Senor Cardgage "Mr. Senor, sir".
- Email road trip — Strong Bad makes a joke—"jumbo/LARGE"—before going on the trip.
- Email coloring — One of Strong Bad's crayons is called "Skin Flesh".
- Email rough copy — When Homestar sells Strong Bad Flavored Water, Strong Bad "shut[s] that mess down on the quickfast."
- Email your edge — Strong Bad says that he and The Cheat are "shenanigan-ing" each other "alone by ourselves".
- A Decemberween Mackerel — Senor Cardgage is called "Mr. Senor" again, this time by Marzipan.
