"Do not ask me to speak up again, because this is as loud as I'm gonna get."

During the various commercials and presentations seen in Homestar Runner, the narrator may speak in a strange or unprofessional manner: deliberately making an error or saying something out of turn abruptly in the middle of the ad read.

Appearances

• Who Said What Now? — Homestar Runner's quote is, "Now spell encyclopedia.... What? I'm supposed to what?! {embarrassed} Oh, man... I blew it real bad this time."
• Meet Marshie (Easter egg) — After warning kids not to eat nails, the narrator asks if he's done, if he can leave, and if anyone wants to get something to eat.
• A Decemberween Pageant — When listing Fluffy Puff Marshmallows as a sponsor for the Decemberween pageant, the announcer hums the jingle "Made From the Best Stuff" under his breath.
• Email morning routine — When the voices on the television stop singing, one says, "I don't remember that part, Mike."
• Email the process (Easter egg) — At the end of the radio ad for Discount Alligators, the radio announcer says not to make fun of his bald spot.
• Cheat Commandos...O's — The announcer hesitates when pronouncing the name of the cereal in the commercial.
• Teen Girl Squad Issue 10 (Easter egg) — Manolios Ugly One keeps adding "or something like that" in his pitch for Manolios Lectro Pawn.
• Email theme song — At the end of a commercial for obtaining a shady online degree at CGNU online e-niversity, the narrator says "Enroll now, and join the e-niversity e-volution e-day! ...uh, well, today. That last one didn't quite work out."
• Email hygiene — Strong Bad goes to extremes describing how John wakes up every morning and forgets to wash his face to the point where the video cuts him off.
• Email nightlife (Easter egg) — The announcer says "Mmmintroducing the Spicy Crispy Chicken Melt. Because you people stopped buying the Crispy Chicken Melt."
• Why Come Only One Girl? — Mentioning Homeschool Winner, the narrator adds an aside that he would like to clean his clock.
• Email buried — The narrator struggles to pronounce the final consonant sound in "Kidx".
• Blubb-O's Commercial — Mentioning the Isosceles Fish Sandwich, the shocked narrator says "Wait, fish sandwich? We have a fish sandwich? Does anybody ever order that thing?"
• Strong Badia the Free — After conquering Country, the narrator calls Strong Bad a "Red Me-Na-Che", then corrects his pronunciation to "menace", claiming he thought it was an Italian word.
• Hremail 62 — At the end, the narrator says the Homestar Dinoland attraction may just be a drawer. Homestar threatens the narrator to drag out the word "dwaw" the way Homestar would.
• Costume Commercial — The first narrator warns not to ask him to speak louder. After choking out a more boisterous narrator that was installed as his replacement, he retorts, "I told them not to mess with me."
• Coach Z's 110% — The narrator describes the product as "Coach Z's 110% whatever machine!"
• Career Day —
  • The beginning of the filmstrip changes from "propaganda" to "indoctrination" to "mind control" before finally settling on "edumacational".
  • When the narrator asks the viewer "What is a Space Captainface and what does it do?" he answers bluntly, "Let me get back to you on that one".
• On Break — After the mascots race around the field, The Brothers Chaps ask each other if it ends differently.
• Compy Catalog — A magazine ad describes the Roomy-Vac as "a real powerHOUSE...get it? Oh, you don't? Well, because it's the size of a... Oh, you were kidding? You do get it? Pretty good, huh? No?", prompting Strong Bad to ask why they printed that whole exchange.
• A Decemberween Mackerel — The announcer advertising Hot Pooey closes his statement with "Oh dear God, what have we done??"
• The House That Gave Sucky Tricks — The announcer advertising the Strong Mad Oyster Smoothie Breath Caked Armpit Latte closes his statement with "Oh my sweet Jennifer, there's no coming back from this one."
• Strong Bad Classics! — Before Strong Bad can begin butchering The Ocelot and the Porridge Maiden, he asks, "[What] the crap's a porridge maiden?"
• Squintmojis — Strong Bad urges the viewer to squint harder and harder until the screen quakes.
• Stack 'Em to the Heavens! — Marshie interrupts before an announcer can begin describing the game. The Videlectrix Guys add, "Included in every box of Tragdar cereal. I mean, board game. Don't... don't pour milk on it."
• Strong Bad Sings on Vinyl! — The announcer says that the album is presented "like you've never heard it before," before walking his statement back: "well— like exactly like you've heard it before, but now it's on a bigger circle!"
• Email parenting — When advertising the Styles Upon Styles Dads at Playgrounds Collection, the ad closes with "Vests! Sunglasses! ...That's pretty much it, really. These guys are pretty one-note."
• Fan 'Stumes 2019 — When advertising the Strong Bad Blacklight Paint Kit, the announcer says, "I don't know if it comes with brushes or sponges. And frankly, I don't care."
• Fan 'Stumes 2021 —
  • "It's the Halloween Cheatball, Stinkly Brown will return after these messages. Are you sure about that? We wanna return? You don't... don't think we should... cut our losses? Welp, alright. Comin' back!"
  • A Blubb-O's announcer describes the Trogdor the Burgernator promotion as "Colby-Jack cheese melted over a beefy-arm-shaped burger, served on what we're calling a brioche bun so we can charge an extra two dollars."
• Fan 'Stumes 2023 —
  • After promising that the next contestant dressed as Trogdor would win a trip to Paris, the narrator replies to a sloppy paper cut-out Trogdor costume, "Never mind! Never mind at all! Never mind all the time go away please forever!"
  • A second announcer admits that there were certain costumes that they couldn't think of anything funny to say about, and that an in-context Homsar quote wasn't used.
• Talkin' Strong Bad Plush Doll Commercial — The narrator apologizes after Strong Bad tells him to tone it down, and capitulates when Strong Bad tells him to change "15 phrases" to "upwards of 14 phrases".
• Strong Bad Talking Plush — The plush says in Homestar's voice: "Hey, kids, I'm Talkin' Homestar! Spin my buzzer, and- Wait? What do you mean my plush doll's been cancelled?!"
• Talk-It-Yourself Homestar Runner Puppet Plush — The narrator wants the real voice of Homestar Runner to take over to make the commercial easier to watch.
• Strong Sad Paunchbaby — After mispronouncing "Fangamer", the narrator corrects himself and complains that a stuffed animal is not a game.
