They usually are related, hence the "THE 2009 WEEK OF ALL OF THE ROOMS IN THE HOUSE OF STRONG EXTRAVAGANZA!!!!!!!!" {{User:Don't say jorb 101/sig}} | ||

HRWiki:Featured article for 2009, week 2 (Jan 5-11)
In the past, about this week, we usually feature something related to either 20X6 or Trogdor. This year, I was thinking of doing both at the same time with the Trogdor-centric toon: Happy Trogday. MHarrington 00:05, 6 November 2008 (UTC)
- I'm up for it!

02:08, 11 November 2008 (UTC)
- I was thinking Trogday 08. It is the newest Trogdor-related cartoon and there is some historical significance (with the theme of The S is for sucks dragon) Any takers?TATPOJ121 01:23, 17 November 2008 (UTC)
- Who said it had to be a new toon? MHarrington 01:39, 22 November 2008 (UTC)
- No one. just a suggestion.TATPOJ121 03:25, 22 November 2008 (UTC)
- I think Trogday 08 is a good idea for sometime, but since Happy Trogday was suggested first and has a high degree of support, we should go for that this time. Incidentally, Tatpoj, if there's already a suggestion on this page and you make a new suggestion, it's best to make sure you address the previous suggestions and why you think yours is preferable (this is not really a vote, but rather a discussion). Keep on keeping on! Heimstern Läufer

HRWiki:Featured article for 2009, week 3 (Jan 12-18)
This will mark a while since we've done a character or pseudocharacter. I think it would be well worth our time to feature Tire: A remarkably detailed article about an inanimate object that is nonetheless often treated as a character. Heimstern Läufer 13:19, 22 November 2008 (UTC)
- That'd be a great one! MHarrington 01:58, 23 November 2008 (UTC)
- I'm surprised ol' Poppy the Tire wasn't featured already! Go for it! Strongking

HRWiki:Featured article for 2009, week 4 (Jan 19-25)
While we are on the subject of former countries in Strong Badia The Free, I think we should do a location that needs an article badly: namely, Club Technochocolate (formerly Pompomerania). It's been a while since we've done an actual location anyway. MHarrington 17:13, 30 November 2008 (UTC)
- It seems like a solid article to me; I'm cool with it. Heimstern Läufer
08:06, 1 December 2008 (UTC)
- As a location in the HR universe, I'm down with it, but we should feature SBCG4AP and all the games in it before we start listing SBTF loctions... or better yet, we could do SBCG4AP and the games on a daily baisis, like we did for Puppet Jams and other puppet stuff a while back. Sound good? Otherwise, Club Technochocolate is good, but I think we can hold it off until SBCG4AP has been featured... That Game Dude 386
14:33, 1 December 2008 (UTC)
- I'm not talking about doing Pompomerania, I'm talking about just doing what it really is: Club Technochocolate. As for doing SBCG4AP on a weekly basis, we only have five episodes, not seven. And any of them would work well solo, I think. So I'm only talking about Club Technochocolate for this week. MHarrington 18:06, 1 December 2008 (UTC)
- OK, CTC is good, and next week I'll elaborate on my plans to feature SBCG4AP... That Game Dude 386

OK, so here's my proposal for an SBCG4AP week: We feature SBCG4AP, SBCG4AP Dev Blog, and each of the five episodes daily. Great idea, or no? That Game Dude 386 00:41, 8 December 2008 (UTC)
- Except maybe for the Dev Blog, I think those are all important enough to get a whole week, not just a day. How about just SBCG4AP for now, and feature the individual episodes another time? Heimstern Läufer

I think we were waiting to feature it until all 5 episodes were released, and until it was cleaned up a little bit. Personally, I think the actual SBCG4AP page should just be a disambig sometimes, and I certainly don't think it's ready for featuring.— Acam3016:14, 8 December 2008 (UTC)

HRWiki:Featured Article for 2009, week 6 (Feb 2-8)
I think the next should be Tis True, Pom Pom, Tis True.
NinjaPmPom 21:36, 10 December 2008
- I guess we could do it. We don't usually feature non-website material very often. MHarrington 02:09, 12 December 2008 (UTC)
- Well, most people don't know alot about it because they don't have the dvd, I wish, but I don't have ANY!--Ninja pom pom 02:43, 12 December 2008 (UTC)
- Maybe these articles would raise awareness of the DVDs. I have two of them. And one DVD-only thing (Real-Live E-mails) has already been featured. MHarrington 06:11, 12 December 2008 (UTC)
- Well, most people don't know alot about it because they don't have the dvd, I wish, but I don't have ANY!--Ninja pom pom 02:43, 12 December 2008 (UTC)
- Right! Ninja pom pom 22:19, 12 December 2008 (UTC)
- I don't think this really would make a good FA, since it's an incomplete toon. I am, however, in full support of any other DVD-related stuff... I would think Why Come Only One Girl? would be a bit more easy to do, if it's not done already. That Game Dude 386
01:22, 13 December 2008 (UTC)
- It has not been done before and I guess it can be done. At least it's more "complete". MHarrington 01:48, 13 December 2008 (UTC)
- First off, in reply to the first two posts in this thread: Someone makes a comment, and then his grandma shows up immediately to support him? Boy, that doesn't look suspicious. Second, in reply to That game dude, unfortunately, Why Come Only One Girl is currently fully protected from editing due to circumstances beyond our control; and I don't feel it should be featured until such a time, if any, that this issue is resolved. As for 'Tis True, Pom Pom: The fact that it's unfinished could be viewed as an asset, not a liability, since I personally think it would be interesting to see a featured article about a work they never finished (and never will, presumably). I wouldn't oppose featuring Schubert's 8th Symphony, so I won't oppose here. Heimstern Läufer
02:01, 13 December 2008 (UTC)

- Valentine's Day is next week. MHarrington 00:04, 14 December 2008 (UTC)
- I think "'Tis True" is a reasonable choice. I wish we could feature Why Come Only Girl, but I think putting it on the main page would only raise awareness of the problem, which we don't want. Heimstern Läufer
01:56, 16 December 2008 (UTC)
- Geez, 2 years now, and it still hasn't been fixed? What kind of a problem is that? Anydangway, I think 'Tis True, Pom Pom will work, upon further inspection. That Game Dude 386
02:15, 18 December 2008 (UTC)
- Also, Heimstern, this edit shows that Ninja Pom Pom and his "grandma" both edited the same time. JCM 22:09, 18 December 2008 (UTC)
- Both added by NPP. Elementio 10:47, 29 December 2008 (UTC)
- Yes, I'm quite aware. Both added separately to a talk page, though. At any rate, since this is a discussion rather than a vote, it's irrelevant. Just let it stand. Heimstern Läufer

This week, we should the oft-neglected word gag Dennis, since we've already done Ye Flask. Ye hasn't seen Dennis in a fortnight, afterall! That Game Dude 386 19:11, 22 December 2008 (UTC)
- That would be interesting, wouldn't it? MHarrington 07:14, 23 December 2008 (UTC)

We could also do the other Thy Dungeonman name gag Dan, too. But I kinda like Dennis better. That Game Dude 38615:08, 23 December 2008 (UTC)

For this week, we should feature someone who is long overdue for a featured article: Marshie. MHarrington 22:33, 25 December 2008 (UTC)
- Marshie has already been featured. Homestar-Winner (talk) 03:28, 26 December 2008 (UTC)
- This is the week where winter turns to spring... and I suggest we celebrate that by featuring The Luau, a very spring-ish toon that I've always held high respect for. —Guard Duck talk 05:25, 26 December 2008 (UTC)
- Oh, right. I forgot. Never mind. Anyway, how about doing instead Strong Bad smiling? That one has a sufficient amount of text. MHarrington 18:23, 26 December 2008 (UTC)
- The Luau is long long overdue to being featured. In many ways, it marked the beginning of the modern H*R era, so it's very significant. wbwolf (t | ed) 03:11, 29 December 2008 (UTC)
- What if we did that one before this spring is up? We would've just already done a big toon for Valentine's Day, if we go that route. How about doing something like, say, Strong Badman, instead? He, too, is long overdue. MHarrington 06:37, 29 December 2008 (UTC)
- Hmm, good point. I realized that after I posted my support. The Luau does need to be done soon (maybe later in March, week 12 or so?), so we could do Badman, since it's been a while since we've done a variation. wbwolf (t | ed) 06:57, 29 December 2008 (UTC)

10:39, 29 December 2008 (UTC)

00:30, 2 January 2009 (UTC)
- I think we should finish the cleanup thing before featuring Strong Bad Smiling. When did it stop being out of character for Strong Bad?
BBG 20:50, 2 January 2009 (UTC)
- I can't see the part that needs cleanup. Some folks say there needs to be less screenshots, but I folks say that really isn't in need of cleanup. If it gets to be an FA, there will be less debate, so if we go with this, it won't need cleanup any more. That Game Dude 386
00:43, 3 January 2009 (UTC)
- There's some amount of controversy as to whether the article should even exist, you see, since Strong Bad smiling has become much more common than in the past. I still think Strong Badman is a better way to go. Heimstern Läufer
03:46, 3 January 2009 (UTC)

- But Strong Badman has only 2 non-easter egg website appearences. I don't think that Strong Bad Smiling is too prominent- if it's less than 50% of the time, it's not frequent. A few instances in a row isn't enough to delete it, and if it gets to be an FA, then that would be the end to the controversy. That Game Dude 386
15:22, 3 January 2009 (UTC)
- But if there's so much controversy, it might not deserve to be a Featured Article. It would be like if "Awesome" was still around, and people still failed to find the notability, so I featured that just to shut everyone up. It just doesn't seem logical or fair (I can't find the right word now) to me.

- A response to Raiku: they only do this a few times per year, but sometimes, instead of a weekly featured article, they have a daily featured article, where every day there's a new one. They usually are related, hence the "THE 2009 WEEK OF ALL OF THE ROOMS IN THE HOUSE OF STRONG EXTRAVAGANZA!!!!!!!!"
