Bubs As Rerun Bubs Rerun Freddy "Rerun" Stubbs was one of the main characters on the 1970s sitcom What's Happening!! played by actor Fred Berry. Always wearing a red beret and suspenders, Rerun was known for his girth, his dancing ability, and his comparative lack of intelligence as he had been held back in school multiple times (hence why he was called Rerun). Berry played Rerun from 1976 until 1979 and again from 1985 until 1986 on the sequel series What's Happening Now!!, and became so identified with the character that he legally changed his middle name to Rerun. Homestar Runner As Kurt Cobain Homestar Runner Kurt Cobain Kurt Cobain was the lead singer of the grunge rock band Nirvana, one of the more commercially successful grunge bands of the era. The shirt Homestar wears says "Corporate Rock Still Sucks", the motto of SST Records, a favorite label of Cobain's, and he famously wore a T-shirt parodying the motto on a Rolling Stone cover.
