It bounces!

Odd. When I move my mouse over the bar near the top-right corner that says that "log in/create account" stuff it moves all the way to the left. What gives? Also, the edit box has itty-bitty spaces between lines. Odd. -Color Printer, I can't log in for some reason.

christmas update?

Aren't we supposed to update the wiki with a cool, christmas-in-the-homestar-universe-themed skin and logo?-- Super Martyo boing! 00:11, 10 December 2006 (UTC)

To clarify, I think the one Trey links to above is the way to go. I know another one was recently uploaded which is more like our current logo, with Homestar smiling. But the original seems more fitting to me: less distracting, plus mouth closed kind of makes sense if you're in the snow. Heimstern Läufer 03:07, 22 December 2006 (UTC)

I also prefer the one Trey linked to. However, the newest one (here) has a nice touch that I like: snow sitting on the letters. Unless bleed0range can add the snow to the older one (he explained that it's a difficult task to create these things), I think we should stick with the logo Trey linked to. —FireBird|Talk 03:13, 22 December 2006 (UTC)

I had a slightly different take on it. Here is our current logo frozen over. I used elements from our current logo and the ones above. I found the falling snow to be a little too much, so I didn't put it in this one. — It's dot com 04:43, 22 December 2006 (UTC)

I want to use the Decemberween logo until the end of Christmas (I'd choose the first one posted), then I would love to switch over to that logo for a while! All great logos, here. —BazookaJoe 04:48, 22 December 2006 (UTC)

I'd prefer it if we only use one logo. I like the blue background better, but I really like the snow. It's only for a few days, so I don;t think it would be all too distracting. Loafing 04:52, 22 December 2006 (UTC)

I think we should use the one of the two red & green and falling snow logos until the end of Christmas (and change the "what's new" part of the Main page to green) — after the end of Christmas, go to the frozen-over one. I like them both, but to me, the red & green says "Decemberween" and the frozen one says "winter". Trey56 05:01, 22 December 2006 (UTC)

To clarify myself and elaborate: Image:Hrwiki dween logo.gif until the end of Christmas, then Image:HRWiki logo frozen.gif for a while beyond that. Let's compromise, please. Bleedy made a very nice logo and he worked very hard to make it. These are both great Decemberween- and Winter-themed logos, respectively, and I would like to see them both used. Four days of animated falling snow is a very short time, and it deserves at least that much. —BazookaJoe 05:08, 22 December 2006 (UTC)

Yes, it's best that we don't let something like that go to waste. I suggest that we put it up now. Then change it to the Decemberween logo. And then after that we change it back to the falling snow one until after the New Years. Or we could just try that alternating thing...--Giskard 05:24, 22 December 2006 (UTC)

I think we should take BazookaJoe's suggestion (D'ween colors now; switch to the frozen one after Christmas). The fast falling snow just doesn't look right, so I think we should use the original D'ween one. I wish the one with the slower falling snow looked more like the smiling pose, but oh well. I'm sure it could be tweaked, but given the lateness of the month, I think we should do whatever we're gonna do right away. — It's dot com 05:53, 22 December 2006 (UTC)

Thanks. I just updated the Front Page section at the Store page earlier today, but I didn't see any changes except for them moving their item list order around (see my edit). I think it's because it has "short shorts" in the title. You probably have parental settings on your computer that block that. My parents did it to me before, I couldn't get on the "Teen Girl Squad" pages. :) Salty^Talk! 06:03, 22 December 2006 (UTC)

Ack-haying the parental controls is easier than you might think. Sometimes, all you have to do is bypass them with a different browser. There are also other methods.--The4sword 21:23, 22 December 2006 (UTC)
