Transcript

STRONG BAD: {muttering} Ow-mnow, mnow, mnow...{louder} Mow-mnow, mnow, mnow... {stops muttering}

STRONG BAD: Nee-co-las. {typing} They said my legs were made of tape?! WHAT?? I mean, do I look like some kind of tape-leg? I can guarantee you, man, I am not a tape-leg.

{Strong Bad stops typing and lifts his leg up, where a piece of masking tape is stuck on the bottom of his shoe.}

STRONG BAD: I mean, look at this leg. Look... look at it there... Oh wait a minute, what's that on- OH, there's a little piece of tape on my shoe!

{Strong Bad removes the tape, and lowers his leg.}

STRONG BAD: {typing} That's what they were probably talking about. Yeah. You probably misunderstood them, man. No, they probably said I had tape on my leg or my shoe and you thought they said that my leg was made of tape. My leg is not made of tape. Pfffph! I must've just stepped on an innocent piece of tape...tape. {stops typing} All right, so until next week, send me some good ones. You know, some good ones.

{The Paper comes down.}

Fun Facts

Explanations

  • Nicolas's brothers may have gotten the idea that Strong Bad's legs were made of tape from halloweener, where duct tape was wrapped around Homestar's legs as part of a Halloween costume of Strong Bad.
    • It's possible that the idea may have come from the way the reflection on Strong Bad's shoe is drawn: it has kind of a zig-zag look to it, similar to the pattern on the end of a piece of transparent tape when it's pulled from the dispenser.

Trivia

  • This is the first email in which Strong Bad does not say the word "email" in his opening.

Remarks

  • Not only can Strong Bad type with boxing gloves on, but he can do so with one hand. He types while he is ripping the tape off.
  • In the previous email, stand-up, Lil' Strong Bad was seen with fleshed legs when his pants fell.
  • When Strong Bad is holding up his arm with the tape, his arm cannot been seen in the computer's reflection.

Fast Forward

  • An email which endures much controversy over its quality, "tape-leg" is referred to by other emails and toons on the site (see Tape-leg).
  • Strong Bad asks for some good emails in the next week. The following week, Strong Bad deletes 5 bad emails and there is no evidence that he ever got any good ones.
