[edit] Gameplay

Roomisode X only has the "Get/Use" option (boxing glove, rightmost) in the context menu.
See Dangeresque Roomisode X: Inspection Certificate on File in Building Office Responses

Unlike Dangeresque's gameplay in the main Roomisodes, Dangeresque Too only has a single interaction with objects. There is no points score, but achievements are still awarded for fulfilling certain criteria.

[edit] Winning the game

See main article: Dangeresque Roomisode X: Inspection Certificate on File in Building Office Walkthrough

After stopping the plummeting elevator, Dangeresque Too is targeted by hitmen who recognize him from the description they were given. Dangeresque Too must find three disguise pieces (a threesguise) to cover up these identifying characteristics:

[edit] Losing the game

  • Wait too long while the elevator is plummeting.
  • Use the Brolly on Dangeresque Too while the elevator is plummeting.
  • Attempt to enter the lobby undisguised three times.
  • Click on "Certain Death" at floor 7 1/2 twice.

[edit] Fun Facts

[edit] Explanations

  • Loafers often have pennies in them.

[edit] Glitches

  • If the roomisode is completed and immediately replayed, the game will act as though a new playthrough has started, but all progress from the previous playthrough will be left intact. (For example, Dangeresque Too can put on his disguise and walk out to the lobby while the elevator is still falling.)

[edit] Fixed Glitches

  • When using an item on the toolbox, Dangeresque Too would say, "I don't need to put anything in there." in Strong Bad's voice. This was fixed in the v1.2 update.
  • Throughout the hotel, backgrounds would sometimes not display and the toolbox would sometimes be missing. This was fixed in the 1.2 update.

[edit] Inside References

  • Manilla Cheescoke was first mentioned in original.
  • Dangeresque Too can ask for "twelve of them" from the callbox.
  • Dangeresque Too is dismayed that the coffee machine does not dispense Hot Jones.
  • "I better find a way, to stop this runaway, eleva... tor", "Prolly Brolly", and "I got the styro before that coffee went pyro" are rhymed phrases.
  • "Scramconnoiter" and "Walktz" are portmanteaus.
  • "Romantic Dinner for Teux" is a homophone.
  • Dangeresque Too refers to his alleged wife as his "spousetype".
  • Clicking on the screen in the elevator when it shows the bad guy makes Homestar note that he's playing a handheld game, followed by the bad guy exclaiming that "it keeps making (him) jump when (he's) not pressing jump!"
  • Dangeresque Too calls the romantic dinner a "ro-ro din-din", much like how his counterpart John said "din-din" in hygiene.
  • Dangeresque Too suggests that the washer is lunch for a robot. The man in the penthouse asks if he can eat the diamond.
  • The clown head on the Kid Meal bag is compared to Marshie.
  • The man on the 7 1/2 floor mentions that the stairs have been burned down by termites, quoting Strong Bad in DNA Evidence. He also tells his partner to "shut up, lady".
  • "Naptake" is an instance of using a noun and verb in quick succession. "Mine-take" instead uses a pronoun.
  • Dangeresque Too says, "I need reinforcements!", echoing Homestar's similar line from the original Cheat Commandos toon.
  • Many of the "game over" messages reference things that Homestar has previously said: "Oops, you bwoke it..."; "Lies. All lies!" (from couch patch); "That did not look good for Dangeresque Too." (paraphrased from 50 emails).
  • At the very end of the game, one of the bad guys claims that he is being assaulted by a masked assailant, and the name of the hotel is the Swissblonkel. This describes the exact case in the case file that Dangeresque was supposed to solve in the first Roomisode.

[edit] Real-World References

  • One of Dangeresque Too's room service requests is "Get hot water, get some disinfectant, get some iodine!", a quote from Peanuts special A Charlie Brown Christmas.
  • The loafers lady's voice is identical to Arlington from the "CGI Palz" segments of Two More Eggs.
  • When asking Dagger Skew about his daggers, he says they are for "slicin' up eyeballs". This, as well as Dangeresque Too's response, "Woah ho ho ho", are lines from the Pixies song "Debaser".
  • The Clown Bag/Marshie calling Dangeresque Too "Hardcastle" is a reference to the 1983 Crime Drama show Hardcastle and McCormick about a retiring judge and ex-con racing driver teaming up to fight crime.
  • An elevator stopping between floors 7 and 8 to reach the "7 1/2 floor" is a concept from the movie Being John Malkovich.
