[[File:YonderWebsite.png|thumb|Put your mind at ease.]]

-
In the [[Skills of an Artist]] episode [[Cartoon Characters]], [[Strong Bad]] draws himself and [[Homestar Runner]] with crude, simple, stick-figure-like designs, and names them Character 1 and Character 2, respectively. He speaks in a calm, soothing tone similar to that of [[wikipedia:Bob Ross|Bob Ross]], frequently using phrases such as "far out" and "that's right". This eventually inspired the toon [[Characters from Yonder Website]], the debut of '''Yonder Website'''.

-

-
Yonder Website features [[Yonder Website Character Variations|Characters 1 through 8]] (and possibly [[Homsar|Character 12]], who has only been mentioned on Strong Bad's [[@StrongBadActual|Twitter account]]), simple versions of the [[Characters#Main characters|main characters]] with black wiggly outlines, white colors, and no shading. They speak in [[tvtropes:Main/SpeakingSimlish|unintelligible sounds]] in their voice, which are understood by Strong Bad as the narrator. The setting is blue, with lighter blue bushes resembling those of [[The Field]], drawn in a blurry watercolor-like style. <nowiki>[[Gumption]]</nowiki> and "spice of life" are considered very important in Yonder Website, and a chime regularly informs everyone to bend at the knees. A "spice of life" appears to be a picture within a thought bubble, and each person's is different.

-

-
The [[TV show]] itself is described as "unbelievably soothing children's programming". It is implied to be a hallucination by the main characters as a result of drinking ten-year expired [[Smarty Juice]]. Smarty Juice is also one of the show's sponsors, along with [[environment|GreenCheat]] and [[Minor Companies|Faceless Megacorp]]. The show is very similar to Trauncles, a series from one of [[The Brothers Chaps]]' [[The Brothers Chaps' Side Projects|side projects]], [[Two More Eggs]]. Like Characters from Yonder Website, Trauncles features crude stick-figure characters who speak unintelligibly, but are understood by a calm narrator.

|-id="Munchox"

-
|[[Image:munchox.png|150px|"Roar! Growl!"]] || '''Munchox the Devourer'''<br>

-
[[The King of Town]] ends up in [[Peasantry]] as the Munchox, also called the [[Scorpion]] Monster. He gains a large, yellow [[Atari 2600|Atari]] [[scorpion]] tail (which Strong Bad says is cool), which he uses as his primary method of attack, using it to smack people offscreen. According to the game's text box, this is supposed to kill the player, but it doesn't work on Strong Bad. His speech is limited, mostly consisting of [[Spoken Sound Effects|spoken roars and growls]] (and the word "treasure" at one point), his crown popping off every time.

-

-
He can usually be found near a cave resembling [[Jhonka]]'s, where he jealously guards the quest items, attacking [[Strong Bad]] if he gets too near. He is seemingly hoarding quest items because he think it's treasure. The Munchox is also very attracted to Scorpion Food, attacking Strong Bad and [[Strong Sad]] (as evil wizard/princess Sluushfuund) for the item. [[Rather Dashing]] regretfully saves Sluushfuund from the Munchox, by telling him to get rid of the scorpion food so the Scorpion King would eat it and leave, and the two go questing together. The Munchox is then not seen again.

-
|-id="Sluushfuund"

-
|[[Image:Sbcg4ap105 strongsad.png|150px|"None shall pass!"]] || '''Sluushfuund'''<br>

-
Strong Sad ends up in Peasantry as Sluushfuund, the "evil wizard". While Strong Sad is convinced that he is a powerful, evil wizard, Strong Bad and Rather Dashing believe he is a princess. He wears a pink pixelated pointy hat, which, according to Strong Bad, is also sparkly. His job is to guard the entrance to [[Trogdor]]'s lair and give out quests. He is determined to guard the lair until his second or third to last breath. One of his quests include retrieving "thy Amulet of Ancient Summoning" (an orange cube) for a reward&mdash; which turns out to be another quest. This will go on forever if you let it. The other quest items include the "Sigil of Dark Dampening", the "Shimmering Trinket of Endless Bargain-hunting", and the "Thing of Exquisite Thingness", all of which are orange cubes. The only way to stop the neverending cycle is to give him a similar-looking cube of scorpion bait instead of the quest item, attracting the Munchox.

-

-
He has certain abilities that regular Strong Sad doesn't, such as "flaming grasp" and "magic missile", which both send a slow blue fireball at someone. His powers don't have much effect, as Strong Bad says it feels like being hit with a microwaved breakfast sausage, and that it's "toasty and nutritious". Sluushfuund eventually goes off with Rather Dashing to be his spellcaster. Sluushfuund is named after a [[Wikipedia:Slush fund|slush fund]], a reserve of money set aside for illegal or dishonest purposes.

|-id="Lady Crate Ape"

-
|[[Image:Marzi as Lady Crate Ape 2.PNG|150px|"Is Marzipan having one of her 'episodes' again?"]] || '''Lady Crate Ape'''<br>

-
[[Marzipan]] turns into Lady Crate Ape. She is based on [[Donkey Kong]], and throws crates everywhere, jumping menacingly. The only difference in Marzipan's appearance is the exaggerated expression of rage on her face, including a mouth that extends off the edge of her head. She seemingly has an infinite supply of crates, which Strong Bad points out. She drags [[Bubs]] to the top of his own [[Bubs' Concession Stand|concession stand]] and throws a crate at him when he tries to move. Strong Bad actually likes Marzipan better this way, but Bubs doesn't, understandably. [[Homestar Runner]] believes Marzipan is just having one of her "episodes". [[Limozeen]]'s [[space machine]] picks her up using the tractor beam and they fly away as she throws crates at them.

-

-
The box for the game itself can be found outside the [[House of the Brothers Strong]], under a box. Strong Bad says it's his, but quickly [[Blatant Lies|corrects himself]] that it's Strong Sad's, and the reason why he sucks. The box art depicts an angry ape with a long blond ponytail and a pink bow, throwing a crate.

|-id="Mista Fixit"

-
|[[Image:Mr. Fixit.PNG|150px|"Let's build something"]] || '''Mista Fixit'''<br>

-
[[The Poopsmith]] turns into Mista Fixit, a character from the "old construction worker game" of the same name. He has a pixelated hard hat and hammer, and is obsessed with building things, but he still uses [[The Poopsmith's Signs|signs]] to communicate. Before joining Strong Bad's party, he requires pixelated pebbles, represented by a sign with illegible black dots on it. Strong Bad uses him to fix the broken platforms and ladders in [[Stinkoman 20X6]]. Strong Bad hires him to build a 200-foot wall around Marzipan's house, until Mista Fixit tells him that it would be expensive (represented by "$$$", which Strong Bad originally interprets as "three dollars").

-
|-id="Putchnya Shotski"

-
|[[Image:PutchnyaShotski.png|150px|"PUT SHOT SHOT PUT!"]] || '''Putchnya Shotski'''<br>

-
[[Strong Mad]] turns into Putchnya Shotski, a "Semi-Legendary [[Russian|Soviet]] Semi-Athlete" and the honorable mention [[wikipedia:Shot put|shot put]] semi-finalist of the [[1982]] Winter Olympics. He is Homestar's favorite athlete that [[Videlectrix]] could afford to license. He looks identical to Strong Mad, but speaks Russian. He is obsessed with shot putting and getting trophies. Once Strong Bad gives him the trophy, Putchnya joins Strong Bad's party. He is needed to retrieve the scorpion food for the Munchox.

-
|-id="Robo-King of Town"

-
|[[Image:RoboKingofTown.png|150px|"Mein streudel!"]] || '''Robo-King of Town'''<br>

-
This is the King of Town's second video game identity. He appears in the second-to-last room of the [[Trog-Cave]] in Peasantry, just before the final battle with Trogdor. He looks identical to the regular King of Town, except wearing sunglasses and wielding two machine guns. He speaks [[German]]. Each time you shoot him with the Light Musket, he loses a gun. He disappears the third time. His appearance and death speech ("Der Poopsmith... auf wiedersehen!") are references to the game [[Wikipedia:Wolfenstein 3D|Wolfenstein 3D]]'s depiction of [[Wikipedia:Adolf Hitler|Adolf Hitler]]. He is the only video game character variation to not be named in the game. Instead, he is named in the credits.

=Don't Make Daddy P.O.'d=

-
[[File:DontMakeDaddyPOd.png|thumb|"Watch out! When Daddy's P.O.'d, the family fun ''never'' stops!"]]

-
'''Don't Make [[Parents|Daddy]] [[Swears|P.O.'d]]''' is a [[board game]] by [[Boardelectrix]]. It was first seen in the [[Trogdor!! The Board Game (video)|promotional video]] for [[Trogdor!! The Board Game]]. The board resembles a backyard. There is a patio in the bottom-left corner with a barbecue on it, grilling sausages. A wiggly path, separated by spaces, weaves through the backyard. The path goes under a white-and-orange-striped hammock, and ends at a lawnmower. In the video, paper pieces of [[the Sad Kids]] are seen on the path. In the middle, a plastic 3D Daddy spins around. Only his top half is visible. He is orange and [[Normal-Human Characters|humanoid]], with eyes, ears, a nose, and an underbite with one tooth. He is wearing a white undershirt with chest hairs underneath, and hairs can faintly be seen on his chin. His arms are reaching into the air. Flat plastic shapes of different colors are spread around the board, and there is a box with a notepad and pencils. There are two green dice with numbers, a blue die with actions, and a four-sided triangular blue die. There are also small cubes; both white opaque ones and yellow translucent ones. There is also a small sand timer.

-

-
In [[Six-Sadded, Die: Don't Make Daddy P.O.'d|an episode of Six-Sadded, Die]], [[Strong Sad]] and [[Lucky Yates]] try to figure out the rules. In their version, it is a two-player game, with each player controlling a different Sad Kid. The goal is to start at the patio, go to the lawnmower to do chores, and then back to the patio. Each turn, the player rolls the two numbered dice and moves the combined number of spaces. If the player lands on a Daddy possession, such as the hammock, they have to roll the blue action dice to determine Daddy's decision. If "move" is rolled, the Daddy moves to the possession. If Daddy moves too close to the player, they get in trouble, and must put a frame in front of him as if he's in a portrait. If the player moves too close to Daddy, they must write a letter of appreciation to him. If the player rolls doubles, they get stonewalled from the barbecue (using a red shape). At some point, they may switch the red wall with a green one to become a lawn, and move it over to the lawnmower, making them no longer stonewalled from the barbecue. If you are not stonewalled from the barbecue, you may go back and get some s'mores. If both players are on the hammock, the next player may bounce on the hammock to send the other player back to the start.

-

-
The cubes go on the barbecue. The white ones are marshmallows or s'mores, and the yellow ones are hot coals. The player may put them in Daddy's mouth. It is also an elemental game, with different colored shapes representing different elements (such as grass, water, brick, steel, and wind). The flat shapes may also be sandwich ingredients (such as tomato, lettuce, and [[wikipedia:Hellman's|Hellman's]] mayonnaise), and may be stacked up to make a sandwich, but its relevance to the game is unknown. The player can draw Daddy under a time limit (deterimined by the sand timer), but it is unknown when this occurs, or what effect it has. Under some circumstances, tapping Daddy's head makes him P.O.'d, causing him to move and spin around. The purpose of the four-sided die is unknown.

This article is about the the YouTube channel. For the website, see homestarrunner.com.

While almost all of the Homestar Runner body of work is hosted on homestarrunner.com or available for purchase, The Brothers Chaps have uploaded most of their toons to YouTube, some of which are not viewable anywhere else. It is also the platform for some of their side projects, such as Two More Eggs. Their main channel for uploads of Homestar Runner cartoons is called "homestarrunnerdotcom", but a few others were created before it became active.

homestarrunnerdotcom was first registered on October 1, 2007, but remained inactive until early 2009 when it began to see uploads of DVD versions of toons, including a few that were previously DVD exclusives. It was proven that the account is official when an alternate version of independent was released there exclusively. Most animations are provided in 720p HD, however some are supplied in 480p or 1080p.

The channel was active until December 17, 2009, and was inactive until September 24, 2014, when a new icon, a One Channel banner, and a few playlists ("Strong Bad Emails", "Halloween Cartoons", "Teen Girl Squad", "Decemberween Toons", "Puppet Stuff", "Live Action Crap", and later "Skills of an Artist") were added. Strong Bad Emails were also renamed to include their numbers. In more recent uploads, Easter egg scenes featured in toons at the end were added, alongside fake thumbnails in order to fake an ending to the video.

On March 27, 2015, a direct link to the homestarrunnerdotcom channel was added to the main site through a button in the NavBar, replacing the old Subscribe button.

Channel Description

Cartoons and more from the website HomestarRunner.com featuring waggly, animated animal characters like Homestar Runner, Strong Bad, and Cherry Greg. Also Trogdor! We should probably mention Trogdor, right? Oh man, this description is getting totally great! You can even PAUSE these videos unlike that busted old website! Also they have better quality sound! But none of those hidden easter eggs. YouTube doesn't know how to do that yet. Hey! That's one reason to keep Flash around! ONE!

Channel Banner

The YouTube channel banner depicts the twelve main characters silhouetted in white against a blue sky, with "HomestarRunner.com" written above. An Easter egg uncropped version is hidden in the page's source code. It is the same, except Homsar is above the image, hanging upside down in the sky, and Homestar Runner (saying "Strong Bad, what's with all this blank space down here?") and Strong Bad (saying "I dunno. I'm still tryin to remember who half these characters are.") are below.

Strong Bad and The Paper's Relationship

"Farewell, my stripèd friend."

Strong Bad has a good relationship with The Paper.

Strong Bad and The Paper Working Together

Strong Bad's Concern for The Paper

  • Email car — Strong Bad calls The Paper "[his] man in the green and white stripes".
  • Email more armies — Strong Bad says of The Paper's poor condition, "That's a bad sign."
  • Email the paper — The entire email focuses on Strong Bad's sadness at The Paper dying.
  • Email bike thief — When New Paper imitates The Paper, Strong Bad says that it makes him feel better.
  • Email email thunder — Strong Bad is overjoyed to see The Paper come back.
  • Email independent — Strong Bad has the Compé-per play The Paper's "Preeeeow".

The Turtle

The Turtle, pre-oatmealing

While reptiles are frequently mentioned in the Homestar Runner universe, one turtle in particular has been spotted several times, usually associated with Strong Bad. It first appears when Buckethand Strong Bad uses his bucket hand to dump oatmeal on it. A boy named Geoff found the turtle in his shoe, claiming its name was Slowbie, and renaming it Mr. Shoe, as shown in a newspaper clipping from time capsule. It appears in 3D in Homestar Ruiner, when it is one of the obstacles that you need to jump over in the Tri-Annual Race to the End of the Race. Strong Bad flips it upside down (along with Strong Mad) in sbemail206, as an April Fools Day prank.

Other The Papers

At the end of most Strong Bad Emails, a link to email Strong Bad is printed on a piece of paper. Most of the time, this link appears on The Paper, New Paper, Compé-per, or CGI Paper; however, sometimes a replacement paper is used. This most often happens because the email or scene is a different style than usual (for example, Old-Timey or Powered by The Cheat).

Image Description Appearances
"The Future...Sorta!" Supra Modern Telegram is the Old-Timey version of The Paper. It is only seen in the DVD version of little animal, during an Old-Timey Easter egg. It is a gray paper that reads "-the end-" below its slogan, "The Future...Sorta!". The sides of the paper have darker gray boxes with letters and numbers inside of them. little animal (DVD version)
"Preeor..." Powered by The Cheat The Paper has been seen in two Powered by The Cheat-themed emails. Most of the time, it has the same text as The Paper, but in badly-formed letters. In DVD versions, YouTube versions, and Crazy Cartoon (its only non-email appearance), it reads ">>>The End<<<". It makes a vocalized "preeeeow"-like sound when it comes down. crazy cartoon/Crazy Cartoon, mile
We the people... In Strong Bad's dream email aboard the Nuclear Class Submarine "Soccermom", he uses an upside-down copy of the United States Constitution, with the email address written at the top in red. The paper is beige and looks old, with small tears and wrinkles. dreamail
An envelope... That's all. The Envelope Paper is an interdepartmental Manila envelope with "click HERE to email strong bad" written on its flap. Only the section marked "HERE" is actually clickable. The Envelope Paper's tenure was short-lived, only being used in one email alongside the Corpy NT6 after The Paper and/or New Paper disintegrated in the Lappy 486's explosion in the previous email, hremail3184. In independent, Strong Bad began using his new Compé for checking his email and the Envelope Paper was replaced with the Compé-per. imaginary

Montage Interruptions

File:PutItOnMyFace.png
"And then I put it on my face..."

Occasionally, when a montage begins, it will be interrupted in the middle by something boring or out-of-the-ordinary, usually accompanied by the music abruptly stopping, and restarting when the montage continues.

Appearances

  • Email replacement — During the dance contest montage, dancing music plays over clips of everyone dancing. The music stops abruptly at the last clip, Homestar Runner singing instead of dancing.
  • Haunted Photo Booth — Music plays over a montage of everyone taking pictures in the photo booth. When The King of Town enters, the music stops abruptly, accompanied by a long pause before the montage and music resume.
  • Six-Sadded, Die: Don't Make Daddy P.O.'d — Board game commercial music plays during a montage of Strong Sad and Lucky Yates making up the rules of [[Don't Make Daddy P.O.'d]]. In the middle of the montage, the music stops abruptly as Strong Sad talks to Lucky about his soolnds. After a long pause, the montage and music resume.

Fun Facts

Trivia

  • Between the title and the description, there are images of meeples sliding across the screen, with four visible at a time (Troghammer, archers, Trogdor, unburninated cottage, burninated peasant, burninated cottage, knight, unburninated peasant, in that order). The images wiggle if the mouse pointer is hovered over them, and when clicked, they turn into the plastic miniature pieces.
  • The "mailing list" notice at the bottom is nearly identical to the one on the Index Page, even using the same email address.
  • The Atari Dragon uses its design from the Atari 2600 game Adventure, rather than its regular Homestar Runner design.
  • This website was designed by the same person who is redesigning the Index Page.
  • The Twitter and Facebook links were added the day after the website went up.
  • The links at the bottom weren't added until the new Index Page was posted on July 17, which included the same links.

Goofs

  • "Trogdor!! The Board Game"'s punctuation is inconsistent, written as "Trogdor! The Board Game!", "Trogdor: The Board Game", "Trogdor- The Board Game".
